How to Get Great Results using Air Forming (aka Blow Drying)

  • Always use a heat-protective styling product.
  • Towel blot your hair to remove about 90% of the moisture.
  • Begin using the blow drying, using the high setting. Then use medium, ending with cool air to set the style.
  • Style and dry your hair in the direction your hair grows, not against it.
  • Always keep the hair dryer 3 to 5 inches away from the hair. Move it back and forth constantly to reduce hair and scalp damage from the heat.
  • Use caution of damaged or bleached hair. It will be more susceptible to hair breakage, friction and heat damage. In this case, remove all moisture using towel. Complete drying on the medium setting and then style the hair on low and set the style with cool air.
