High Demand
Employment of skincare specialists is projected to grow 40 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations.
The increase in employment reflects demand for new services being offered. In addition, the desire among women and a growing number of men to reduce the effects of aging and to lead a healthier lifestyle through better grooming, including skin treatments for relaxation and well-being, should result in employment growth.
Job opportunities should be good because of the growing number of beauty salons and spas. Those with related work experience should have the best job opportunities.

Overview
The program begins with students studying significant scientific concepts, the body’s and skin’s anatomy and physiology, bacteriology, electricity and chemistry as how it affects skin care and esthetics procedures.

As the course progresses, you’ll learn to identify skin types and perform basic facials. Metro Beauty Academy has also designed a curriculum to include training in advanced facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser and light therapy, mask therapy, non-therapeutic massage, tweezing, waxing and makeup application. We say that’s comprehensive!
Apply the skills and techniques garnered from classroom lectures and demonstrations on visiting clients in Metro’s fully equipped day spa. There you will have the necessary Dermalogica and M.U.D Make-up products right at your fingertips.
Metro Beauty Academy provides you with the resources and technical knowledge to obtain a successful opportunity at a salon, spa, resort or medical clinic after passing the State Board exam.
You’ll find this all in one spot. Take a look at our curriculum to see if this program is right for you. We know it is.
